The West Tennessee Workforce Collaborative (WTWC) is an initiative formed by APEF and local school districts in West Tennessee including Bartlett, Collierville, and Germantown. Our group is led by district leadership- Superintendents of each district make up our board, which demonstrates the level of commitment to workforce initiatives by our members the WTWC. Our mission is to strengthen the region's workforce by creating dynamic partnerships between education and local industries, beginning in K-12 education. We aim to equip students with forward-thinking training and education to meet regional workforce demands. Since its inception, WTWC has focused on three key goals: centralizing workforce development resources, hiring career counselors for high schools, and creating a job board tailored to high school students. Recognizing a gap in existing solutions, we envision a unique platform that extends beyond traditional job boards to engage K-12 students and local industries in meaningful ways, with support from various non-profits and community partners.
